Over the years Simon has had a significant impact on the development and approval of a myriad of products, spanning a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas (including oncology, anti-infectives, anti-virals, neuroscience , ophthalmology, metabolism, cardiovascular, respiratory, etc). He has also played an important role in shaping the Canadian regulatory environment during his career, having participated in many bilateral initiatives with Health Canada and industry.

Prior to founding Proficio, Simon's career in scientific affairs included experience in medical device and pharmaceutical contract research, as well as within the pharma industry with Bristol-Myers Squibb and, more recently, at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada where he served as Head of Regulatory Affairs.
